Shinta Mani Shack
Shinta Mani Shack is much more chic boutique than it is shack. Set within Siem Reap’s scenic French Quarter, this luxury Asian-themed hotel is characterised by a high ceilinged lobby with an iconic Apsara mural, beautiful Oriental ornaments and lush green hanging plants. Set around a central saltwater swimming pool that enjoys all-day sun, the plastic-free hotel is the ideal base for chilling out in between explorations – located close to the Old Town area and the temples of Angkor Wat. Spend your time relaxing within the pretty gardens filled with fountains and sun loungers or visit the sister hotel across the road to indulge in post-sightseeing massages at the spa.
Why we love it
We love that Shinta Mani Shack takes pride in supporting the local community. It boasts a shop where proceeds go towards locals in need and an adjacent tourism hospitality school that guests can visit and support three days a week.

Dining
Or perhaps the Wagyu sirloin, so tender it cuts with a fork. All cuts of beef arrive to your table with a trio
of the chef’s favourite sauces, roasted garlic and cress salad. The side dishes are a new take on steakhouse classics the house favourite being the creamed spinach with a pinch of parmesan, second to none truffle oil laced steak frites and the “can’t miss” creamy au gratin potatoes with bacon. Starters include favourites such as fried mozzarella with Sicilian tomato salsa, crispy prawn rolls and pan-fried raisin bread stuffed with gorgonzola cheese. Seafood pasta, generous salads and over the top desserts round out the menu. A steak dinner wouldn’t be complete without an excellent selection of wine and cocktails, the Steakhouse boasts one of the most complete wine lists in Siem Reap and a bar offering handpicked spirits at reasonable prices.
