Setting the gold standard for luxury beach escapes, Banyan Tree Phuket is filled with glimmering freeform lagoon pools dotted by towering palms, undulating fairways, pretty lakes and nature trails as far as the eye can see – so big, you can be whisked around by golf buggy. Located on the edges of Bangtao Beach, there’s absolutely everything you can think of within the resort complex itself or just nearby – an 18-hole golf course, a kids club, endless swimming pools and one of the best spas in Thailand, complete with its own training school.
WHY WE LOVE IT
Even the entry-level rooms are something special at Banyan Tree Phuket: private villas with their own pool and open-air bathtubs, making pampering within reach no matter the room category.
Room Types
Made up of 23 one-bedroom Veya Pool Villas, the resort promises to be a sanctuary of rest and restoration. As the name suggests, each villa has its own private pool and heated jet pool for ultimate relaxation. Wellbeing features include exercise stretch bands, pillow selection, nightly aromatherapy, yoga mat, meditation singing bowl, binaural sleep music and a mini bar to make the villa a true retreat. Modern Thai-inspired design and architecture ensures a clean, almost minimalist finish, perfect for decluttering your mind.

Dining
Conscious and plant-based cuisine are two of Veya Restaurant’s main focal points. They believe in food that not only tantalises your taste buds, but also elevates your wellbeing. Asian and Mediterranean influences make up the menu, boasting dishes like bowls, broths and reinterpreted iconic local dishes. ‘Nutrition Sommeliers’ will even assist guests in curating a menu tailored to their dietary needs and preferences. Alternatively, the signature Banyan Tree restaurant, Saffron, delivers authentic Thai cuisine, with a simple but elegant setting. Light Thai and Western food options can be found at the Banyan Café, perfect for daytime meals. Fresh food made with local ingredients – you can’t beat it.
