You will arrive at Katunayake Airport where you will be met with our travel representative and your private transfer to your hotel, which will take approximately 30 minutes.
The day is yours to unwind and relax.

Following breakfast, your day will start with a 3 3/4 hour journey to Tirappane.
After checking into the hotel, the afternoon will consist of a visit to Nachchaduwa Lake, a beautiful spot to experience a gorgeous sunset.
The drive to the scenic Nachchaduwa lake will take you off the beaten track, through the countryside dominated by rice paddies. The closer you get to the lake, the more you will have the chance to catch sight of birds, buffalos and other wildlife including elephants.
After sundown, you will return to the hotel to unwind for the evening.

Following breakfast and checkout, it’s time to embark on a journey towards the lost kingdom of Ceylon, Kandy.
Tucked away amidst the hills, you will enjoy a city tour of Kandy, or “Mahanuwara”, the last capital of the ancient kings’ era in Sri Lanka. Kandy is home to one of the holiest places of worship and pilgrimage for Buddhists around the world, the Temple of the Tooth. This royal palace was the location of the tooth relic of the Lord Buddha, and is now a World Heritage site.

The morning will begin with a train journey to Nuwara Eliya, the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country. Upon your arrival in this most popular hill resort, you will visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, learning all about the tea process from manufacturing tea to how it is graded.
After your tea-filled day, you will return to your hotel for an evening of downtime.
