Itinerary
Arrive at Kigali International Airport and meet your English-speaking driver-guide.
Private 4x4 transfer through Rwanda's Thousand Hills landscape to the Virunga Conservation Area (approximately 2.5 hours).
Optional cultural stop to explore local markets and villages, or visit the twin lakes Bulera and Ruhondo (payable directly).
Check in to your lodge and enjoy free time at leisure.
Overnight: One&Only Gorilla's Nest Meals: Dinner
Morning transfer to the Volcanoes National Park briefing station for an orientation with expert park guides.
Trek from the trailhead through cultivated fields into ancient Afromontane rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family.
Spend up to one hour observing endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
Return to your lodge for lunch before an afternoon transfer back to Kigali.
